May 14, 2026 San Miguel Corporation (SMC) affiliate Bank of Commerce (BankCom) was honored by the Credit Management Association of the Philippines (CMAP) as its Most Outstanding Member for 2026, ranking first among the association’s 533 active members from various industries such as cooperatives, banks and financial institutions, and industries such as real estate, trading and manufacturing. This marks the third time the Bank has received this distinction, following previous wins in 2022 and 2025. BankCom Credit Investigation Department Head Eugene F. Mercado and Credit Investigation and Appraisal Division Head Ivan Rey B. Tagpis accepted the award and the PHP 20,000 check on behalf of the Bank. The awarding ceremony was held last April 24, 2026 at the Lanson Place Mall of Asia during CMAP’s 94th Anniversary celebration and 44th National Credit Congress.
