June 23, 2021Reiteration on non-acceptance of checks with erasures, alterations and/or duplicate account number written at their corresponding dorsal sides. Please be reminded that pursuant to Philippine Clearing House Corporation (PCHC) Memo Circular 3616, effective immediately, the Bank shall not accept any check with erasures, alterations and/or duplicate account number written at their corresponding dorsal sides, regardless if erasures and/or alterations are authorized through signature or initials. Acceptable check(s) shall have the following conditions: No erasures and/or alterations on the front and back side of the check Shows no indication that the check has been previously deposited, negotiated or endorsed to another bank The back/dorsal side of the check should be absolutely free from the following: Erasures and/or alterations Two or more Depository Account Number Dorsal Deposit Information (DDI) for another bank or the Name and Account Number of another bank Depository Date Bears only the following information: Endorsement of the Payee/s by affixing their Signature Depository Account Name Only one Depository Account Number Example: Please be guided accordingly.
