December 10, 2018Your Debit Card safety and security are important to us. Keep in mind and practice some crucial tips when using your Debit Card. DOs: Memorize and regularly change your Personal Identification Number (PIN). When using an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), shield the keypad with your hand as you enter your PIN. Be mindful of persons who attempt to view your PIN and transaction details. Keep personal information private as this can be used during online transactions for validation purposes. Update your contact information such as mobile number and email address with the branch to receive immediate notification in case of suspicious transactions. When transacting through the Web, ensure that the website is secure by checking its Universal Resource Locator (URL). The URL should begin with “https” and the browser’s status bar should show a closed padlock icon to denote that the website is secured. Regularly monitor your account balance and transaction history. Promptly report any suspicious transaction to your branch or Customer Care. Avoid using public internet connection or free Wi-Fi to conduct online transactions (such as online shopping, balance inquiry, bills payment) which can be manipulated by hackers to capture your password and account information. DON’Ts Use ATMs that appear to have been tampered with or altered. Disclose Personal Identification Number (PIN) to anyone. Use Personal Identification Number (PIN) with consecutive digits. Store PIN, CVV, mobile number and other personal information on your wallet or device.
