HomeNewsBankCom conducts virtual 2022 Economic Briefing

August 31, 2022

Bank of Commerce (PSE: BNCOM), an affiliate of San Miguel Corporation and licensed as a universal bank (subject to final regulatory requirements), recently held its first online BankCom Experience Economic Briefing as a newly publicly listed company, where valued clients learned more about the Philippine Economic Outlook and its implications on businesses, and the ways in which the Bank can foster greater collaboration.

The Bank tapped former Department of Finance Secretary and former BankCom Board Adviser Margarito B. Teves to lead the comprehensive Economic Briefing covering the pressing concerns, important updates and projections for major economic sectors such as agriculture, export/import, infrastructure, services and banking/finance. He delved on certain global current events. Former DOF Secretary Teves also facilitated the interaction with Bank Senior Officers and more than 300 clients who attended the online event.

Among the distinguished panelists of the 2022 Economic Briefing were BankCom President and CEO Michelangelo R. Aguilar, Branch Banking Group Head SVP Joel T. Carranto, Trust Services Group Head SVP Gamalielh Ariel O. Benavides, and Investment Banking Group Head FVP Luis Martin E. Villalon. Present during the event were bank Senior Officers including Branch Division and Area Heads who coordinated the Q&A segment with valued clients. Branch Business Development Department Head AVP Bernard Louie M. Sison served as host for the client event.

The 2022 Economic Briefing is among the corporate events lined up by the Bank as a newly publicly company to provide key investment updates that translate to actionable recommendations and to ensure that our valued clients make informed decisions related to their business operations.
